The seed for Loco Pez was born of a very strange Los Angeles tourist experience. We skipped Hollywood, Venice Beach, Disneyland, and the Santa Monica Pier. Opting instead for a noon beer and bean & cheese burrito followed by a regular session of par 3 golf. Afternoon rush hour was spent in one of L.A.’s dozens of dark dive bars. When the traffic cleared, we commenced on a nightly pilgrimage to the many, many mind-blowing taco trucks that set up shop in the LA metro area. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Loco Pez is our homage to the great women and men who create wonderful flavors in tricked out delivery vans, and all those who get out of bed at noon every day to enjoy them. We may have fun, but we take scratch cooking and Mexican flavors very seriously. If you want one taco or eight different tacos we can hook you up, just like you’d get in an auto body shop parking lot on La Brea Avenue.
